About Us

Preserving the stories written in the buildings of Stratford–Perth County.

Founded in 2009, ACO Stratford–Perth County is a volunteer-led community group devoted to caring for the architectural and cultural heritage that gives our region its character and sense of place. Through education, advocacy, and hands-on initiatives such as our Historical Plaque Program, we help bring the past into the present—inviting residents and visitors to pause, look closely, and uncover the stories held within the buildings that line our streets. We welcome all who are curious about local history, passionate about heritage conservation, or drawn to the art of community storytelling to join us in giving voice to the past within our shared landscape.
