Self Guided Tour

COBOURG STREET STROLL

A Self-Guided Walk Along One of Stratford’s Original Streets.

Take a leisurely stroll along Cobourg Street, from Waterloo Street to Parkview Drive, and discover the story of Stratford’s growth through its architecture.

As you walk east, the dates on the plaque properties trace the community’s development from the late 19th century through the early decades of the 20th century.

Most of the homes are Edwardian in style — brick, largely two-storey, and modest in ornamentation. In contrast, the houses built in the 1800s reflect a range of Victorian styles distinguished by their decorative details and craftsmanship.
